- The sound of alarm bells and sirens, the blue flashing lights, is it an accident? No, it's just another day out for the Classic Emergency Vehicle owners. Every weekend around the country hundreds of enthusiasts gather to show off their old ambulances, police cars and fire engines. Some like to restore their vehicles back to exactly as they were when new, complete with all the original equipment inside. Others like to show the vehicle as found complete with rust and mud. Some even dress up as members of the emergency services and ride their vehicles in grand parades of Classic Emergency Vehicles.
