"Military Air Displays: The Red Arrows and More" is jam packed with something for every military aviation enthusiast. From military aircraft of the Second World War right up to the modern day with the RAF's latest frontline fighter, the Typhoon. Performing an outstanding display of its capabilities, the RAF Typhoon is followed by two of the RAF's supply aircraft, the VC-10 and Tri-Star. The Harrier display is simply awe-inspiring. The much loved beautiful Catalina evokes timelessness and elegance in this classic display before the RAF's current fighter trainer, the BAE Hawk based at RAF Valley zips around the skies. One of the great recent fighters of the USAF, the F-16 Fighting Falcon is put through its paces with great skill before a display by the popular Cold War F-86 Sabre and F-80 Shooting Star. The most recent RAF workhorse, the C27J Spartan transporter performs a wonderful display followed by a brief look at her predecessor, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's C47 Dakota flanked by a Spitfire and Hurricane undertaking a great fly past and display. Back to today with the versatile AW101 Merlin helicopter in a superb display. And finally, in a fond farewell, the classic Belgian Air Force Fouga Magister is seen performing in its last display season. And closing the show is a display from a team that has become a great British icon - The Red Arrows.
