- Synopsis:
The life, or lack thereof, of a proprietor of a gas station, which is the only stop for miles around and a hub of action on the Prairies...A cable excess van comes to Dog River. Lacey (Gabrielle Miller), Wanda (Nancy Robertson) and Emma (Janet Wright) compete with Karen (Tara Spencer-Nairn) and Davis (Lorne Cardinal) for a show. But the decision falls into first Oscar's, then Brent's, hands...Oscar (Eric Peterson) drives the school bus and decides to lay down the law on "unruly" students. Karen accidentally knocks out Davis and it ruins his reputation. Wanda gets addicted to an energy drink while Brent (Brent Butt) tries to avoid helping Emma around the house... Brent is ready to celebrate turning 40 by drinking the 40-year-old scotch he prepared for himself 20 years ago. Pity that Hank (Fred Ewanuick) seems uneasy every time Brent mentions the bottle. Wanda's contribution to Brent's birthday party is fireworks. Too bad Oscar wants to fire them before midnight. Lacey and Emma battle to see who can bake a better birthday cake... - Actors:
