After his wife is killed in a terrorist operation, international industrialist Alexander Addington (Christopher Plummer) assembles a private team of troubleshooters to help combat terrorism around the world...A former girlfriend of Peter's gets kidnapped, because her husband, an ex-CIA agent reneged on a deal to supply terrorists with bomb detonators. After confronting her husband, Peter (Simon MacCorkindale) and his Counterstrike team-mates try to find the woman...Counterstrike team's mission is to foil an IRA plot, but Peter aborts the mission after being told by British Intelligence to back off. At Addington's orders, Luke (Stephen Shellen) and Nicole (Cyrielle Clair) try to finish the mission, while Peter does some soul-searching...Nicole quits the team to get married. A recuperating Luke breaks out of the hospital and goes on the run with a troubled Vietnam veteran. Unknown to him, the IRA is hot on his trail. Peter is not far behind...A police chase results in a van full of dead teenagers abducted by a kidnapping ring. A clue leads the Counterstrike team to a circus. Stone (James Purcell) and Gabrielle (Sophie Michaud) pose as circus employees to catch the culprits...Journalist investigating wrong-doing by British government officials gets killed. Counterstrike team helps a colorful New York female detective in the murder investigation, but things go horribly wrong... - Actors:
