The film tells a story of two brothers, Mijail and Fedor (Miguel de Lira), who have been living together on a cliff since a terrible flood destroyed their village when they were little. Their only companion is a cow, Mushka, who got there with them in a wooden box and is their apple of the eye. She even eats with them, on a table. Crebinsky brothers’ house is full of weird inventions and they collect everything they can find around them. That way, when one day a Nazi pilot crashes on their beach, they get to take his parachute (full of fish) and his transmitter, burying the pilot nearby afterwards. Little did they know about what was to happen next. Mushka, their beloved cow runs away and they decide to find her. Their journey will be followed by a Nazi troop willing to find the dead pilot (by trying to track the transmitter) and Crebinsky brothers will end up in a very odd place full of memories…
