- The series, based on Maria Lang's crime novels, is set in the majestic beauty of Bergslagen, a Swedish idyll. Across six individual stories, we meet Puck and Einar Bure along with police superintendent Christer Wijk (Ola Rapace - Wallander, Skyfall) in their quest to catch the killer. The perpetrator is always "among us" and the murder plots are inevitably crimes of passion. Each episode is a classic whodunnit where we follow the lives and fortunes of the complex characters in an exciting thriller filled with love, sex, intrigue, betrayal, secrets, lies, and death.

Beautifully filmed 1950s charm - Crimes of Passion review by KG
The plots aren't brilliant but I was sorry to get to the end of these as I enjoyed the cinematography and the cast very much - the plots don't really matter that much, as the atmosphere and the great heroine carry the films along.
