Nine year old Danny Smith lives an idyllic life in a gypsy caravan at the back of his Dad's garage but all this looks set to change when evil landowner Victor Hazell (Robbie Coltrane) and his henchmen (Jimmy Nail and William Armstrong) enter their lives. Hazell has been steadily buying up all the local land and Danny (Sam Irons) and his Dad (Jeremy Irons) soon discover that he will go to any lengths to buy their garage regardless of whether they want to sell. Something must be done to stop Hazell's wicked plot and it is Danny who comes up with a brilliant plan that will get rid of Hazell and make Danny The Champion Of The World.
