'Dark Tourist' is a haunting journey into a disturbed, unravelling mind. Security guard Jim (Michael Cudlitz) has a morbid obsession, he is a "grief tourist" - he gets a thrill from visiting places where murder or tragedy have taken place. His dream holiday is to visit a location connected to a serial killer. His current obsession is 1960's murderer Carl Marznap (Pruitt Taylor Vince), and so he takes a road trip to a small Californian town to delve into his world. There he meets waitress Betsy (Melanie Griffith), and they bond over the difficulties they've both faced in life. But as Jim's dark sexual impulses eat away at him, he starts to lose grip on reality, and has hallucinations about Marznap. Jim descends into a dark despair that turns nasty when he visits a prostitute at his motel, and the truth about his past is revealed in a shocking finale... - Actors:
