David Whitfield was a tenor vocalist and hit recording star of the 1950's; in the time before Rock 'n' Roll when "Music was Music"! His style was a pure voice with orchestral accompaniment and beautiful tunes. He was the first British male singer to be awarded a gold disc for the sales of "Cara Mia", which stayed at No. 1 for ten weeks in 1954. He had his own TV show and made many guest appearances on others. During the 50's David Whitfield's star shone brighter than most. Now for the first time this video brings together some of David's unique full performances from his spectacular TV shows and also features some of his very special guests.
