Children's author, Tom Nightingale has been unable to write since his wife died; his only joy being to read fairy stories to his eight-year-old daughter, Melissa. Secretly, a real fairy, Crystal, also listens to the stories each night. One night, she gets knocked from the window sill, chased by the family dog and crashes into a tree. Her tiny fairy body morphs to human size and on regaining consciousness, Crystal Knocks on Tom's door suffering from amnesia... fairy amnesia! Despite Melissa's meddling teacher, Miss Martinet, Tom and Crystal fall in love. However, as Crystal is missing from Fairyland, good and evil forces are marshalled... the good as Oddkin and Bodkin (two incompetent gnome private detectives) who have to return Crystal to Fairyland within six days, with evil arriving as The Collector, a bounty hunter from the World of Darkness. Tom must race against time to discover an ancient time to discover an ancient spell to keep Crystal in his world and to defeat The Collector before her fairy soul is lost forever.... - Actors:
