- "Deadliest Catch" is an American reality series made for the Discovery Channel that charters the perks and perils of life aboard fishing boats during the king crab fishing season on the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska. Now in its ninth season the show derives its title from the high risk of death or injury to the fisherman aboard the various vessels.
