Almost 130 miles off the coast of southern New England lies Georges world's richest fishing grounds and home to the North Atlantic's most prized treasure: lobsters. Generations of American fishermen have ventured into these lush waters to wrest a living from the sea, and things are no different today. But depleted resources near the coast have forced these men to hunt hundreds of miles out into the open sea. Every winter, as temperatures plummet and the sea turns stormy, the coveted lobsters migrate further and further into deep water in search of food and shelter during the winter months. And, as sea conditions reach their annual worst, the offshore lobster-men are hard on their tails. Cast your sails and hold on tight as our featured fleet, the 'Dragon Lady', the 'Timothy Michael', the 'William Bowe', the 'Direction' and the 'Rachel Leah', heads into deep water to make a pull during the worst weather conditions of the year.
