Rent Death Note (2006 - 2007)

Japanese animated drama about a deadly book called Death Note that can kill anyone just by someone writing your name in it. The series follows a college student named Light Yagami as he discovers the book and its power and decides to use the book to rid the world of all evil by using the book despite the horrific power he now wields thanks to the book. The series looks at the effects of power and the risk of people sucumbing to the allure of it much like Light when he is given the Death Note.
