Synopsis:
Inspired by the Bondi Beach murders of the 80s and 90s, this chilling crime series follows Detectives Tori Lustigman (Yael Stone) and Nick Manning (Noah Taylor) on the tail of a serial killer luring gay men to their deaths through gay app Thrustr. As the Dl's delve deeper in to the case the discoveries are shocking. They uncover a spate of unexplained deaths, 'suicides' and disappearances linked to gay bashings by youth gangs, a blood sport that went largely unpunished by the Australian police. Haunted by the earlier death of her brother, DI Lustigman's fascination with the case soon turns to fixation, putting her career on the line and her friends and family at risk.
As the killer plots to strike again, can Lustigman put her demons behind her in time to find justice for the victims, and ultimately herself?

over-simplified TV dud - Deep Water review by AER

Australian police procedural made for TV which lacks detail or consideration for police procedure. Thin characters with a lack of depth make unconvincing narrative choices and the whole thing comes across as trite and too basic to engage. Shame as the subject matter called for a more interesting take. Noah Taylor was good but had very little to work with.

Fantastic cinematography of Bondi.

Very Australian too, which reminded me of my time living there.

The leading actors were also really good.

The story is good too so whats not too like?
