In the teeming metropolis ol Mumbai, four people separated by class and language are drawn together in compelling relationships. Shal (Monica Dogra), an affluent investment banker on a sabbatical, strikes up an unusual friendship with Munna (Prateik), a washerman (dhobi) with ambitions of being a Bollywood actor. She has a brief dalliance with Arun (Aamir Khan), a reclusive painter, and finds herself attracted to him. As Shai's relationship with Munna deepens, and Munna finds hlrnself falling in love with her, Arun discovers Yasmin (Kriti Malhotra), a young housewife whose secrets unravel him even as they bring love and meaning to his solitary life.
