This is a story of a chirpy small town girl preity Zinta, her elder sister Mahima Chaudry and her mother, Rekha. Preity knows that her mother does not love her as much as she loves mahima. To seek her mother's attention, Preity is always upto some mischief. Arjun Rampal is the sophisticated Harvard returned son of a industrialist Alok Nath. He falls in love with Preity while Mahima falls for him. Unknowingly, both the sisters are involved with Arjun. Jimmy Shergil is a ventriloquist and childhood friend of Preity. Whenever she is depressed, she turns to him and he always helps her sort out her problems. Jimmy adores Preity but has never expressed his love to her. One day Preity learns the secret that has haunted her mother for so long and realises that there is just one way that she can finally win her mother's love. - Actors:
