In 'Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa', Salman Khan plays Rishabh, a partner in an upcoming media company, madly in love with Pari (Preity Zinta), a doctor committed to building a charitable hospital for the poor. The two seem destined to live happily ever until fate intervenes and Pari suffers a fatal accident, turning Rishabh's world upside down. The only thing that stops him from falling into deep depression is his desire to fulfil Pari's dream. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Dhani (Bhumika Chawla), a person who has seen such darkness in her life that she realises the importance of enjoying even the smallest joys in life. The two are drawn to each other until a shocking discovery threatens everything and once again Rishabh is shattered. He finds himself at the crossroads of life.
