Rent Dinner at Fred's (1997)

Richard (Gil Bellows) leaves his office planning a relaxing Christmas vacation at his fiancee's country home. However his car breaks down and he loses his wallet - leaving him no way to get anywhere and nowhere to spend the night. When friendly local Fred turns up and offers him a meal and a bed for the night in his family home Richard feels his luck has taken a turn for the better, but there's a little more to Fred than meets the eye. Fred's family believe they are victim to a curse - a curse that prevents any guest who stays after midnight from leaving. The simple dinner invitation turns in to a journey of self-discovery for Richard as he tries to save himself from a lifetime at Fred's.
