- Narrated by Canadian actress and environmentalist Neve Campbell, Dirty Oil travels deep into Canada's Boreal Forest, going behind-the-scenes to the strip-mined world of Alberta where vast and toxic Tar Sands supply the U.S. with the majority of its oil. Leslie Iwerks journeys to both sides of the border to see the emotional and irreversible toll this 'black gold rush' fuelled by America's addiction to oil is taking on our planet. Along the way, we meet scientists, 'big oil' officials, politicians, doctors, environmentalists, and aboriginal citizens directly impacted by 'the largest industrial project on the planet today'.
