- Synopsis:
Dr Michaela Quinn is a refined city doctor who leaves her home in sophisticated Boston for the rough hewn life of the frontier in Colorado Springs, when she answers an advert for a town doctor. She is met with hostility, suspicion and resentment as the locals are mistrustful of a female doctor. She soon finds her genteel values are at odds with the cruder mindset of her new Western home. While she struggles to earn their trust, Dr 'Mike's' life is further complicated as she grows closer to local mountain man Byron Sully, and assumes the responsibility of raising three orphaned children.
