- Synopsis:
- In 'The Crusade', the Doctor (William Hartnell), Ian (William Russell), Barbara (Jacqueline Hill) and Vicki (Maureen O'Brien) become embroiled in the political machinations of King Richard the Lionheart (Julian Glover) after landing in 12th century Palestine. Only episodes 1 and 3 of this story still exist in the BBC archives, so the gaps are filled in by the Doctor's companion, Ian Chesterton (William Russell).
