An incredible underdog story of Wales' remarkable journey to the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016 "Don't Take Me Home" isn't just the story of one of the smallest countries in the history of the game getting to the final rounds of a major tournament, it's the story of a whole country and its people, for so long left in the shadows, finally finding their place in the sun. Since the Second World War the Welsh national football team had only ever qualified for one major national tournament, the World Cup in 1958. Their qualification for the European Championship finals in France 2016 was in itself a huge achievement but it was expected that they would lose heavily in the opening rounds. In what became the global sporting story of the summer, little Wales shook the footballing world to its very foundations.
