The film follows David (James Brough), a twentysomething London lad who finds himself a fish out of water in Liverpool following a one-night stand. Attempting to win his fare back to the big smoke, David strikes up a rapport with demure betting shop assistant Tina (Helen Elizabeth) and his plans suddenly change. Deftly played by its young leads (the authors of the stage play on which the film is based), Don't Worry About Me makes sublime use of Morrissey's Liverpool hometown to reveal how we might find beauty and friendship in the most unexpected places
