Mentally-challenged Billy Morrow has been locked in his room all his life by his politically driven mother. From the little window of his room, Billy watched the movies that played at the drive-in theater across the street. It is the only contact he has with the outside world. Night after night, year after year, as the screen plays slash and hack horror films, Billy gets a deadly dose of Murder and Mayhem. Night after night, year after year, Billy gets a little closer to the breaking point. Tonight Billy's keeper, a sadistic and neglectful houseboy, goes too far and Billy reacts the only way he knows how - by imitating what he's seen on screen. Escaping the house, Billy is drawn to the drive-in. Masked by the screams from the screen, he does the only thing he knows how to do...he kills, and kills again. No one seems able to stop him. For the patrons of the drive-in, on this night, the movie is Real.
