- Unlucky-in-love Georgia (Nia Vardalos) has come to sun-soaked Athens to find her mojo – or "kefi" as the Greeks call it. As a tour guide, she oozes passion for the ancient history of this beautiful city but it's wasted on her motley crew of tourists for whom lounging on an inviting sandy beach or shopping for tacky souvenirs is much more fun. But an unlikely friendship with wisecracking tourist Irv (Richard Dreyfuss) opens Georgia's eyes to the possibility of romance. As Irv plays cupid, with his help Georgia realizes that true love may be a lot closer than she thinks.
