- This modern day western follows Dare, a vigilante who moonlights as a detective in West Los Angeles. Cleaning the streets and ridding the neighborhoods of scum, Dare becomes obsessed with a phantom like criminal terrorizing the community. Simultaneously, the same exact investigation is being lead by official and determined Detective Robert Morrison of the LAPD. As Dare closes in, and the entire department closes in on them both, he must make the ultimate commitment and pay extraordinary consequences. 'Duke' stretches beyond the cliched vigilante justice picture with it's measurable heart and honest framing of arrested development, codependency, heroic zeal and poetic justice.
