- Synopsis:
For Detectives Carella (Dale Midkiff) and Meyer (Joe Pantoliano), their current case is as baffling as it is gruesome. Piecing together a string of murders - whose diverse victims include a chorus line dancer, a low-level pimp, a drug peddler and a respected jeweller - the two detectives are left scrambling for clues and a possible connection. What at first appears to be the senseless murders by a crazed serial killer, unfolds into a major drug-smuggling and money-laundering scheme gone awry. With hundreds of thousands of dollars still at large and an increasing number of unsavoury characters looking to get their share, the death toll grows larger while the list of suspects grows shorter. Working on a hunch and a few lucky breaks, Carella, Meyer and other detectives from the 87th devise a trap that will ultimately bring an end to this international drug smuggling operation and the capture of one of the most unlikely murderers this precinct has ever seen. - Actors:
