Tracking down quality footage of the great Enduro events of the past is no mean feat - but as the enjoyment brought to enthusiasts by our first volume of Enduro Classics showed, it is well worth the effort! "Enduro Classics Vol. 2" continues the story of the International Six Days Trial into the 1960s, with colour footage of the 'Olympics of Motorcycling' in I960 and 1966. Plus, there's a look at the final round of the 1981 European Two Day Enduro Championship. Selected from the BP Video Library, these archive films chart each event, showing the often gruelling conditions and demonstrating the stamina and skill required. We also see - and hear - some classic dirt bikes in action, including machines from Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Puch, AJS, MZ, Maico, Cagiva, KTM and even Lambretta!
Austria International is the story of the 35th ISDT, based in Bad Aussee. Made by famed director David Wood for Castrol Films in I960, it follows the battles for the International Trophy, and the Silver Vase. There's extraordinary action, including the first year of special tests at the ISDT, plus controversy as the final result is thrown into doubt by an appeal.
Ife Er Folge, charts the 41st ISDT, held in Sweden in 1966. There's action from each day of a very demanding event for riders like Sammy Miller, as the East Germans once again show how Enduro riding should be done! The Scandinavian-accented commentator will raise a smile, while you'll want to watch the slow motion sequences of classic machines from more than 40 years ago battling the treacherous tracks over and over again. Finally,
Austrian Enduro takes us back to where we started, but more than two decades on, for the final round of the ultra-competitive European Two Day Enduro Championship. David Wood directs and broadcasting icon Stuart Hall commentates as we watch the determined battle between stars including Geraint Jones, Derrick Edmondson, John Knight, Alessandro Gritti and Gualtiero Brissoni. There are also interviews with the British team revealing just how much the sport had changed since the opening frames of "Enduro Classics Vol. 2".- Actors:
