Synopsis:
The Royal Opera give a live performance of Tchaikovsky's work about a man who comes to regret the decisions he makes in love and friendship. Robin Ticciati conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra with Simon Keenlyside as the titular character, Krassimira Stoyanova as Tatyana, the women he realises he loves too late, and Pavol Breslik as Lensky, the friend he betrays. The cast also features Elena Maximova as Tatyana's sister Olga, Diana Montague as her mother Madame Larina and Peter Rose as Prince Gremin, the man she later marries.
