The founding of the Berliner Philharmoniker on the 1 May 1892, is annually celebrated in an European city of cultural significance. In 2016 the Berliner Philharmoniker travelled to Roros in Mid-Norway, to play in the town's beautiful baroque church. For Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor the orchestra was joined by Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang, who debuted with the Berliner Philharmoniker.
