Rent Ever Decreasing Circles (1984 - 1987)

Ever Decreasing Circles is a British comedy series that follows the antics of a set in his ways man who is forced to face change when a outgoing and adventurous new neighbour joins his friend group. The series follows Martin (Richard Briers), a happily married man who is terrified when new neighbour Paul (Peter Egan) moves in and begins changing his routines with his more relaxed attitude and while he at first gives it a try he ends up getting into a pointless competition with Paul despite the fact they have nothing to fight over.
