A Quirky, bittersweet drama about the relationship that develops between travelling Irish dentist Fergus O'Connell (Daniel Day Lewis) and Estella, a young woman (Mirjana Jokovic) who is looking for escape from her upcoming marriage. Stowing away in the sidecar of Fergus' motorcycle, Estella is initially an unwelcome presence - especially as Fergus is married himself. Their travels together through the vast flat landscapes of Patagonia see them encountering unexpected troubles - until Fergus sees his licence to practice dentistry taken away and he further ruins things by embarking on another affair under Estella's nose.
