- Synopsis:
- François Ozon co-writes and directs this French drama starring Sophie Marceau and André Dussollier. Based on the novel by Emmanuèle Bernheim, the film follows Emmanuèle (Marceau) as she is forced to confront her 85-year-old father, André (Dussollier)'s, declining health after he has a stroke. When he wakes up in hospital André asks for Emmanuèle's help to end his life. With assisted suicide illegal in France, Emmanuèle sets out to find a way to grant her father's final request.
