- Synopsis:
Dr. Jenny Isaksson (Liv Ullmann) is a psychiatric doctor in a clinic, has a husband who is absent for three months, a lover to take his place, and a daughter who is studying at the University. Since she is alone in her house, she returns to her maiden floor; The first night she can not sleep, since all the ghosts of her past harass her. Back at the hospital the doctor is determined to save a woman whose dementia has not been cured until now. One day he receives a call that his patient has escaped, and finally finds the woman lying on the floor of Jenny's house. When Jenny arrives at her house, two men attack her, and one of them tries to rape her; This causes him enormous trauma, and starts taking drugs to calm down.
