Farm Aid was conceived in 1985 after Bob Dylan suggested providing some help to folks closer to home in the wake of the huge Live Aid charity concert. In 2005, on the 20th anniversary of the original Farm Aid, a new incarnation of the festival was brought to life with a show at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, Illinois. Neil Young, Dave Matthews, and John Mellencamp were among the curators of the festival, and all three artists also made brief appearances at the show. This presentation includes many of the standout performances from the day, including appearances from Wilco, Arlo Guthrie, Willie Nelson, and Emmylou Harris.
