The series starred the now superstar Shahrukh Khan and transformed him into an overnight heart throb . The character played by Shahrukh Khan (Abhimanyu Rai) gained instant popularity due to its charm, peppiness and the exuberance with which Khan essayed the role and made him a popular household name. The concept focuses on a batch of trainees in a commando school, their training and eventual induction as soldiers whose primary mission will be National Security and Defense of India from external aggression and threats, and maintaining peace and security within the borders.
The fiction not just elaborates the life in an army school but also takes us close to the emotions of these otherwise tough looking men.
