Struggling artist Nick Parker pays the bills by giving drawing classes to the elderly. Living in a squalid Brooklyn apartment, Nick avoids contact with his family, including his sister Charlotte . The murder of his landlord sets off a troubling chain of events - but are they real, or do they only exist in Nick's imagination? Director Alex Winter , with cinematographer Joe DeSalvo, creates a stylish, claustrophobic world, revealed strictly from Nick's scattered point of view. In maintaining this distorted vision, the audience views the story through Nick's muddled eyes, resulting in an eerie, sinister thriller.
