Synopsis:
Duke are very pleased to present the inaugural year of the Rallycross Championship as a World event. The change was sanctioned by the FIA before the start of the season and now Rallycross rightfully takes its place in alongside WRC as the pinnacle of high-speed off-road car racing. Unlike some series, World Rallycross really earned its title with rounds in Canada, Argentina and Turkey as well the usual Northern European events. All the big names turned out in force and with the dial turned all the way up to eleven, deperate to be the first to be crowned World Champion of Rallycross. Two time European Champion Timur Timerzyanov came into World Championship as a clear favourite but no-one was writing off former World Rally Champ Petter Solberg a wily old campaigner and a driver with the professionalism to dig deep and keep on fighting. Other big names who dipped a toe in the water include Tanner Foust and Ken Block of the USA, Canada s former F1 champion Jacques Villeneuve and Rallycross legend Per Eklund. Get ready for a real rollercoaster of a ride over mud, tarmac, gravel and through huge water splashes and don t forget the joker lap!
