Gwen (Annette O'Toole) watches in court as the man she knows murdered her brother is acquitted of the crime. In just a few moments her whole life changes. She is no longer a loving sister, daughter and girlfriend, but a woman obsessed with revenge. This is her true story. Gwen's brother George is found dead and his lover is accused of murder. Gwen and her family are devastated but prepare for a trial which will put the killer behind bars... Until celebrity defence lawyer Merle Hammond (Michael McKean) takes the case. He turns the trial around, making George look like a threat to society and making his client, the murderer, look like an innocent man. When the trial is over, Gwen is left with the knowledge that her brother is dead, her family name is ruined and George's killer is free. All because of one man.
