- A tragic accident paralyses professional motorcycle road racer Shawn Powell from the chest down ending his promising racing career.
Then, inspired by the safety wheels on a child's toy motorcycle, he realises he might ride again. When his mechanic and wife both refuse to get involved in this 'madness', he turns to his strange neighbour (Michael Madsen) for help, but after finally perfecting his invention,Shawn's determination to ride again is not enough.
