Synopsis:: On-screen John Gilbert stars as the dashing nobleman who falls for the beautiful Countess Felicitas, played by a 21-year old Greta Garbo. Off-screen the two fell in love during filming. Garbo's affair comes between Gilbert and his best buddy who ends up marrying her after the Count is killed in a duel.
