Series 1 of the massively popular HTV programme "Flying High", News Anchor Richard Lyddon flies across the HTV region in a stunning exploration of everything the area has to offer - from modern military installations to ancient stone circles. Taking in everything from the bird's eye perspective of a helicopter, Richard gets the rare chance to see the Westcountry's famous landmarks and hidden gems, bringing you along for the ride. In each trip - flying down the Avon, or from coast-to-coast across the West Country for instance - Richard Lyddon points out features in the landscape and talks us through the history of ancient monuments and more modern structures en-route. He reveals the wealth of heritage on offer and shows the bustling activity of modern cities and industrial facilities.
