December, 1943. The Siege of Leningrad rages on, which will see over 1.5 million people lose their lives. Fighting on the side of the Axis, the Spanish Blue Division are dug in for the winter, trying to survive the bitter Russian cold. Whilst on patrol a battalion encounters something that, amongst the carnage, still manages to shock: the body of a Spanish soldier with his throat cut. As more bodies are discovered, investigators soon come to the chilling conclusion that there is a serial killer lurking in the ranks who is targeting his own comrades. Arturo Andrade, a lowly private who before the war was a police inspector, is summoned from the ranks and takes on a literal life-or-death mission – stop the killer in his tracks and bring him to justice.
