A compelling story of how a tragic event changes a young woman's life forever. Tana (Teri Polo) is raped at college by the son of her mother's boss and long-term lover. The reaction of her mother devastates Tana, and she is forced to keen her terrible ordeal a secret, even from her best friend, Harry (Reed Diamond). She channels the anger and bitterness she feels into her studies and then her career, becoming a powerful and highly regarded lawyer. But her success is marred by the scars of her traumatic past, and a deep-seated determination to learn from the mistakes her mother made still burns within her.
