Synopsis:
Lucky for us there were cameras to capture the Funky Meters' unforgettable show at the 2000 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Widely considered to be the founding fathers of funk, The Meters spent the '60 and '70s perfecting their unique musical blend, which incorporates blues and dance grooves with a New Orleans vibe. Rechristened the funky Meters in 1994, the band continued their tradition of fusing their individual styles into a distinct sound that wins new fans with each performance.
