- Future Boy Conan is a Japanese anime adventure TV series, inspired by Alexander Key's 1970 novel The Incredible Tide. The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where one of the few survivors after an escape to space is Conan and his grandfather. Conan soon finds himself making new friends as he explores a ravaged world. The series was directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the anime director behind Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.
