Synopsis:
Fallen angel Sammael has claimed purgatory in the name of darkness. With the help of his menacing, gun-toting task force, he has smothered the dark, dreary city in vice, violence and cruelty. Sammael's victory is assured - until the arrival of Gabriel, the last of Heaven's seven archangels. Gabriel is young, strong and the mightiest warrior seen since Michael, his predecessor, disappeared. In no time, Gabriel's bravery and skill threaten to decimate Sammael's evil henchmen and redeem Jade, the lost angle with the heart of gold. But Sammael has one last card to play: the secret of his own past, the knowledge of which could destroy Gabriel forever.

Sadly dissapointing - Gabriel review by CS

Spoiler Alert
28/03/2012

I was expecting a real action flick in the style of a vampire horror movie, judging by the trailer. Instead I was treated to a coupe of hours of very slow boring art house style imagery, awfully poor wooden acting, a really limited script and dialogue, a contradicting storyline that was exceptionally weak and a non sensical ending. I found this very boring and struggled to stay awake, forcing myself to watch unit the end, only to be disappointed. This reminded me of some of the Eastern European action films like Nightwatch/Daywatch, a kind of East Euro film trying to appeal to the American market and failing miserably. Whilst the visuals are interesting, there are some really strange camera angles and use of effects that just don't quite work. many scenes are simply too long and it really drags out the action, any action there is is almost done is such slow motion way too much as to become non-action! All in a very dull, boring and disappointing film. Oh and the punch line at the end was so predictable!!
