- The Gentle Touch is a British crime drama series that focuses on working and personal life DI Maggie Forbes (Jill Gasgoine), a female police officer working in the fictional Seven Dials police district in London. Following the murder of her husband, a police constable, Forbes is left to raise her son alone and struggles to maintain her career in a male dominated environment.
