'George Harrison: A Beatle in Benton', Illinois is a historical documentary of the musical birthplace and first American visit by the Beatles' lead guitarist George Harrison. While John Lennon went to Paris, Ringo and Paul went to Greece, George, accompanied by his brother Peter, arrived in Benton, Illinois, USA in September 1963. George and Peter were in Benton to visit their sister Louise Harrison-Caldwell, who had moved to Benton in March 1963 due to her husband's job at a mining company. During this time, Louise would often visit local radio stations plugging her brother George's band, the Beatles. The first song by the Beatles to ever be played in America: "From Me to You" was spun at WFRX-AM radio station in West Frankfort, IL.
