Although it is now more than five years since George Michael sadly passed away at a criminally early age, his profile and status as one of the UK's most talented and consistent male solo performers and composers has never been shaken. Indeed, his festive song, 'Last Christmas', originally released in 1984 by George's '80s group Wham! - kept off the UK number one spot by Live Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas', which he also contributed to - became a chart topper on New Year's Day 2021, thirty-six years after its first release.
